My partner and I read a lot of articles about back pain. We are going to start posting articles that we feel can benefit you on your road to nimble back.
Today's article is about the necessity of movement. To summarize, do NOT lay around and hope to get better. Of course if you have an injury you should seek medical condition. BUT - most acute back pain should be treated with movement. Example -Stretching on The Beam!
After my second car accident, I was in terrible shape. I could barely move or walk. But life had to go on. I had to go to work everyday. The worst part was sitting at a desk for hours. I would seize up and be worse off by the end of the day. I wish I had known to take stretching breaks. My chiropractor at that time had said to stand more and to lay down in the board room but he NEVER told me to stretch.
Here is a link to the article. And if you remember one thing... it is to get up and MOVE!
